Hedge International Intercessory Prayer Warriors
Principles for Effective Intercession
Praise God for who He is. God's power is especially released through worshipful song. "As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against(the enemy), and they were defeated" (2Chron. 20:22).
Make sure your heart is clean before God by giving the Holy Spirit time to convict should you have any unconfessed sin. "Search me, O God, and know my heart, test me, and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting".
Acknowledge that you can't really pray effectively without the Holy Spirit's enabling. "...the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for" (Romans 8:26b).
Ask God to utterly control you by His Spirit, receive by faith that He does, and thank Him.
Deal aggressively with the enemy. Come against him in the all-powerful name of the Lord Jesus Christ and with the sword of the Spirit - the Word of God. "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7).
Die to your own imaginations, desires and burdens for what you feel you should pray. "...lean not to your own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5b). "For my thoughts are not your thoughts" (Isaiah 55:8).
Praise God now in faith for the remarkable prayer time you're going to have.
Wait before the Lord in silent expectancy, listening for His direction. "But as for me, I will look to the Lord, I will wait for the God of my salvation, my God will hear me" (Micah 7:7).
In obedience and faith, take action on what God brings to your mind, believing, "My sheep know my voice and another they will not follow" (John 10:27). Keep asking God for direction expecting Him to give it to you. "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go, I will counsel you, and watch over you" (Psalm 119:105).
If possible, have your Bible with you should God want to give you direction or confirmation through His Word. "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light unto my path" (Psalm 119:105).
When God ceases to bring things to your mind for which to pray, finish by praising and thanking Him for what He has done, reminding yourself that "...from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen" (Romans 11:36

Prayer 3 times a day...........9am/12noon/9pm
Level One- Milk ..............20min./20min./20min. = One hour per day = 7 hours
Level Two-Bread.............40min./40min./40min. = Two hours per day = 14 hours
Level Three-Meat...............1hr./1hr./1hr = Three hours per day = 21 hours
If you have other responsibilities at the hour of prayer, have a moment of silence and make up the prayertime during the day. Optional prayer times are: 6am, 3pm, 6pm.
This local body of the Church will be praying corporately for 7 days. However, the Lord may lay upon your heart to fast and pray for 21 or 40 days. Please, be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
If God leads you, prayer may be offered to the Lord 6x each day for 7 days. If God leads you to pray this way, remember at the end of the week you would have prayed 42 times. You may omit 6 & 9pm clock on Thursday (service night). This will then give you a total of 40 separate times of prayer with the Lord.
A tithe (10%) of each day (24 hours) is 2 hours 40 minutes
All those seeking to tithe a 10th of their time each day to the Lord should pray/praise for at least 2 hours 40 minutes per day.
You must wash and be dressed each morning before you pray during this consecration. Come before the Lord dressed appropriately. Remember, you are coming before the King.
Remember, many times in the Old Testament the words for prayer and praise were identical. Therefore, it is not only acceptable but mandatory to praise during these times with the Lord. In other words, just don't use repetitous words in the natural, but pray in the spirit and sing in the natural and in the spirit also. All of the above is what prayer is about.

Prayer is at 9am and 9pm daily and is open to everyone. All warriors should be praying every day and should partner up with someone at least 4 times a week. If you are unable to reach a prayer partner, please call someone who might need prayer. The main thing is to pray anyway . Don't be defeated, for we have a mission to accomplish for the Lord.
Don't forget to arrive early on meeting nights for prayer.
January, 2008 we will be studying PRAYER. Everytime we study prayer God brings new insights. Get excited because prayer is on the agenda.
